Poly-Med President and Director of R&D Receives the SFB
2006 Technology Innovation and Development Award
At the annual Society For Biomaterials Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 26-30, 2006, Dr. S. W. Shalaby was recognized by his colleagues and officers of the Society, during a plenary session on April 29, 2006, by the presentation of the 2006 Technology Innovation and Development Award for his successful applications of basic and applied biomaterials research in the development of absorbable polymeric biomaterials. During the plenary session, the awardee address presented by Dr. Shalaby was entitled: Tailoring the Properties of Polymeric Implants.
